We are excited to announce the launch of our newly expanded EVOPT website!

After many months of hard work developing our software solutions and supporting fleet electrification projects across the U.S. and internationally, we are eager to share our latest updates and highlights, product information, upcoming events, thought leadership, and more.

We invite you to explore MyEVOPT.com to learn more about our innovative software solutions and topics related to fleet electrification and operations management.

What We Do

Our focus is on designing and optimizing entire fleet systems by providing tools to reduce the costs of design, planning, and operation when undertaking a fleet electrification project. To this end, our team developed our proprietary fleet electrification software tool, EVOPT, in partnership with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and UC Berkeley.

EVOPT is an intelligent planning and operations software package that makes it easy for fleet operators to electrify their vehicles and manage the EV charging process. EVOPT consists of two components—EVOPT Planner and EVOPT Controller:

EVOPT Planner takes the uncertainty out of fleet electrification projects by calculating the route energy requirements, correctly sizing vehicle batteries, charging infrastructure, and energy infrastructure, and then doing detailed financial modeling.

EVOPT Controller is a complete Depot Management System with the ability to dynamically reschedule routes, manage charging schedules, integrate DERs, dispatch vehicles, perform V2B /V2G operations, track analytics, forecast load, allocate lanes and chargers, and create an operating strategy.

Read more about several current projects utilizing the EVOPT software in our new portfolio section of the website.

Our team also provides fleet electrification consulting services to support projects ranging in size from 15 to 100+ vehicles. When the extra analysis and expertise are needed, Microgrid Labs is happy to set up a consultation and hear your needs for each of your projects. Contact us today to get started!

Who We Are

EVOPT is developed by Microgrid Labs, an engineering consulting firm founded in 2014 by a team of professionals with more than 100 years of combined fleet electrification, microgrid, and energy storage project experience. Since its inception, MGL has been using sophisticated modeling tools for its consulting assignments and has always wanted to make these tools available to the end-users so that they can reduce their dependence on consultants drastically.

Learn more about the makers of EVOPT on our About page.

Our Thought Leadership

The EVOPT team is very active in the e-mobility sector, regularly participating in panels, webinars, and conferences on topics ranging from fleet electrification projects and innovations to distributed energy resources and microgrids. Keep an eye out for upcoming events and webinars hosted by or featuring our team on our Webinars page.

We also have added other resources sections for EVOPT News, Videos, and Blog articles. Explore our latest happenings and highlights and learn more about fleet electrification and what makes EVOPT so unique.
